For The French Herbal Gourmet, no professional experience is required — only curiosity, enthusiasm and a love of good food. The Master Diplomas are advanced professional programs.
Do I need to be vegan?
No. Students do not have to be vegan, but they have to accept the challenges that vegan cuisine and pastry present.
How many students per class?
Usually 2 students for the Master Diplomas, about 4 participants for The French Herbal Gourmet, and 2-8 participants for Dining with Monet.
Are the classes hands-on?
Yes. Every student works at an individual workstation; the Master Diplomas include 35 hours of teaching a week.
How are the Master Diplomas organised?
8 weeks, in 4 two-week modules. Classical & Contemporary: 15 March – 7 May 2027. Gluten-Free: 11 October – 3 December 2027.
What diploma or certificate do I receive?
The two Master programs award a diploma; the herbal classes award a certificate.

Staying
Can I stay at the Domaine?
Yes. The Domaine currently offers two private cottages and a duplex in a separate building. For the Master Diplomas, staying on site is required: it is full immersion. For The French Herbal Gourmet, on-site accommodation is limited and subject to availability, and a number of independent holiday rentals and B&Bs are available nearby.
Are cleaning and linen provided?
The accommodation is not run as a hotel, but each unit receives a weekly bed-linen change and cleaning.
Are meals included?
Yes, all meals are provided during the Master Diplomas. In The French Herbal Gourmet, every day includes a complete lunch and dinner, prepared during class.
Where does the produce come from?
Herbs, flowers, fruits and vegetables come largely from the Domaine's garden and orchard.
Practical
I have an allergy or a special diet: what should I do?
Please tell us before you enrol, so we can look at what is possible together. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
What should I bring?
For the Master Diplomas, the apron is provided; bring kitchen clothing and non-slip shoes.
How do I get to the Domaine?
Students are responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the Domaine, about an hour from Paris. For those who prefer a door-to-door service, we can recommend a trusted local professional taxi/VTC company for transfers from airports and railway stations.
